Paul Smith presented his autumn-winter 2018-19 collection in Paris. The English designer, presented a collection that extols the merits of tailoring and London underground.
Beautiful, perfectly tailored costumes are presented for both men and women. Colorblock coats give replica to plain leathers and cashmere. The blazers, slightly longer than usual, remind us of Paul’s 80s costumes when he wanted to give this formal piece a casual look.
The colors are presented in a crescendo, with a palette of neutrals, from burgundy to navy blue going towards more vibrant colors, red or turquoise. The 70’s boots and functional leather workwear bags contrast with the fluidity and finesse of the costumes.
