In what year was the Wylde brand created, by whom?

The brand was created in 2006, by Paula Thomas and myself (Jene Park).

Can you tell us in a few words why the United States?

I originally came from South Korea and moved to the United States to study fashion in 1992 in Los Angeles because I liked the city a lot.

What role do you play within the company?

I was initially the director of operations and after the creative director of the brand.

Why do you leave Los Angeles for Paris afterwards?

I am a former student of the school of fashion, design and merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles where I obtained a scholarship from the Maison Lesage to come to Paris and study.

Do you have other professional experiences?

Yes, I also worked at BCBG for 10 years.

How has the house evolved in recent years?

In 2014 the Thomas Wylde house was acquired by a Korean investor, Paula Thomas to sell the company and I remain the only one to manage the company.

Where do Thomas Wylde’s raw materials come from?

Thomas Wylde uses noble materials from France, Italy, Finland and Japan. These products are handmade and the workshop is located in Los Angeles and Korea.

How do you manage to maintain the style of the brand?

I try the clothes myself, because I want them to be not just beautiful but also comfortable, for me women must be “sexy”, “rock” and “chic”, that is the philosophy of my creations .

Is you influenced by trends?

I’m not trendy, white is my favorite color and that’s why I use it a lot. In fact, I use mainly neutral colors to focus attention on the woman who wears it and not on clothes and otherwise I love French culture.

The brand is widely known among celebrities; is not it ?

Indeed, many celebrities love the brand.

Where do your customers come from?

Especially from Europe, Russia and the Middle East.

Where can we find your products?

Thomas Wylde at boutiques only in Los Angeles but maybe there will also be in Saint Barth and an online store will soon open.
