Guo Pei, presented his fifth Haute Couture collection « Elysium » spring-summer 2018 at Cirque d’Hiver Bouglione in Paris. For this parade, Cirque d’Hiver is transformed into a romantic and colorful Elysium, a magical land for this new collection. The Chinese designer favors the themes of responsibility and life.
Elysium is an island where joy finds its source, as a black gem sends us the blue reflections of the ocean. Guo Pei saw this magical garden filled with multicolored flowers, where elves dance with fairies.
The flower is the key element of this extraordinary collection, combining the richness of the techniques with the livelier forms. Innovative fabrics and natural materials are also the stars of this collection. The fabrics contain elements from nature embellished by luxurious embroidery craft decorations adorned with natural stones and crystals are in the spotlight, a collection or blue, white and gold dominate in this mysterious and romantic parade.
The soul in freedom invites itself in all this sumptuous collection. Guo Pei illuminated the femininity of her dresses with crystal platforms. Guo Pei raising once again his quest for craftsmanship to the sublime.
