The Georges Chakra house, presented its new spring-summer 2019 collection at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris. The designer is a lover of fashion and elegance, he draws on the traditional know-how of the Couture that he associates with his own manufacturing secrets, to imagine modern and poetic dresses, shaping the body in all lightness of the woman.
The architectural lines are highlighted by carved cutouts, delicately revealing the body concealed by embroidered tulles. Transparency and opacity unite to become one.
Nodes of all sizes invade dresses as the ultimate details of femininity and couture. From the most majestic to the most discreet, they blend to become one with the outfits using the same fabrics or playing on the contrasts.
Graphic white, gray pastels are interspersed with bold colors such as sun yellow, acid orange and silver. For extra light, satins, guipures, tweed, are embellished with rhinestone embroidery, beads and sequins of all shapes confirming the contemporaneity of the couture work.

Experimentation continues with additions of raffia, silver leather scales or laminated fringes for a modern approach to evening dresses. Romanticism and modernity come together with floral prints reminiscent of English gardens and hand-painted silk paintings.
The dress of the bride is accompanied by a girly procession, in which the ultra runs fully embroidered dresses is counterbalanced by worked tulles. The contrast of materials promotes the meeting of innocence and sensuality.
