Christian Dada presented his collection « Spiral » autumn-winter 2018-19 in Paris. The spiral as a symbol of change and evolution, the AH18 collection has this notion of movement and transformation into something new as a starting point. The models walked on a spiral track to the rhythm of live drums.

The work of the American artist David Lynch has initiated many of the highlights of the collection: a pattern of red roses embroidered on satin jackets or knitted on sweaters resumes the graphic design of a poster of the film Blue Velvet. Always developing a personal aesthetic vocabulary, Morikawa mixes the influences of the Asian wardrobe with the classics of a western wardrobe. Tailored jackets are cut with kimono collars, in an elegant gesture imbued with ethnic chic.
New collaborations with the Italian sports brand KAPPA and the American label DICKIES are unveiled for the first time for autumn-winter 2018. The image of the silhouettes mirror Kappa’s logo, here echoing the oriental philosophy of Ying and Yang, runs on the tracksuits and on the sleeves of jackets and t-shirts. Dickies twill pants are reworked in high-waisted, high-rise versions with offbeat builds, echoing the intriguing idea of dark, disturbed elegance that characterizes the Christian Dada Fall-Winter 2018 collection.
