Karl Lagerfeld presented the Chanel Haute Couture spring-summer 2018 fashion show at the Grand Palais in Paris.
A Grand Palace transformed into a huge impressive cliff with vegetation, rocks, waterfall … Chanel scrolled his models with capes and rain hats, matching boots in tweed, leather or embroidered tulle with transparent heels.
The iconic tweed costume appears pale pink or white. The straight or slightly trapeze cut is defined by a relaxed collar, a kimono sleeve, a rounded shoulder and a slightly arched back.

Strapless mini-dresses entirely embellished with sequins are veiled with tulle embroidered with flowers. An ornate cage dress trimmed with curly feathers changes to a long duchess satin dress, which is then interrupted by a resplendent skirt of tulle.

Thanks to this softness, femininity is expressed in a palette of soft tones of soft pink, coral, frosted lemon, mint, taupe and pale gray that contrast with more intense colors, including black, sparkling silver, fuchsia, dark green and electric blue. Tweed remains the flagship of the collection, and like every year, Chanel knows how to make us dream, with this collection of vintage inspiration, that of Coco Chanel.
