Karl Lagerfeld creator of the Chanel house presented his new autumn-winter collection 2017-2018 at the Grand Palais in Paris. An exceptional show with a decoration inspired by the painting « La Tour Eiffel » painted by Robert Delaunay. For this season, Karl Lagerfeld proposes the chic and offbeat Parisian, with ample and feminine cuts. We find tweed and sequins, fancy chic accessories.
The silhouettes in tweed coats with swollen shoulders and grayish tweed sets, all combined with patent leather boots. Karl Lagerfeld explored a more experimental approach, producing combinations of tweed gauchos, and loose woolen tunics adorned with a small black bow. There was a kind of fresh twist to the collection, as the fabrics always blended together perfectly, exploding into a sea of leather and tweed, whether on the dresses, under the coats or on the forearms of the models , Silk dresses and feather trimmings. The boots above the knee added a little marble to the House’s elegant heritage, combining perfectly with the geometric lines of the silhouettes.
The color palette, there were shades of gray, burgundy and navy hues and finally the chic black color of Chanel. The opulent flowers were literally everywhere, taking care of the hemlines of the coats, the cascading dresses, forming necklines and making very tight cuffs. A collection more vibrant than ever.
