The Parisian haute couture house was founded by the French designer Pierre Balmain in 1945 and after his death in 1982, the succession of artistic directors including Oscar de la Renta and Christophe Decarnin. At the start of the latter in March 2011, the house calls on the young graduate of ESMOD school Olivier Rousteing to head the Creative Direction, the brand continues to offer a glamorous rock style with sumptuous cuts and ornaments.
